What did your very first place look like when you moved away from home.?

Was the experience what you had hoped,Or how did it differ from what you had hoped.

I loved my first place. It was cozy, which is another way of saying small. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a tiny kitchen with maybe a foot od counter space. Not to mention, it did have a cockroach infestation. But it was a short walk to the beach, the walls were all painted a different summery color, and I was with the love of my life and away from home. So I loved my first place!

My parents lived in a really nice house filled with really nice stuff. My first flat was a rental filled with odd bits of mismatch furniture, it had a funny bathroom with no lock on the door and a really old cooker that smelt a bit funny and I loved it! It wasn't as nice or as comfortable or even as clean as my parents but it was where I took responsibility for myself for the first time so I treasure the memory. I do remember also wondering what the heck I was doing there when the bills came in and I could barely pay them so yes, it wasn't all joy and delight and sometimes if I am honest it was a bit scary and a bit lonely but it was a great experience just the same.

I bought a really old mobile home in order to keep my expenses down low for me and my daughter. 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath. The kitchen was up higher than the living room (which I thought was so cool). The biggest down fall was...in order for someone to use the bathroom, you had to walk through one of the bedrooms...a little inconvenient. The moble home park had a play ground, basket ball area, pool and a pond...if you'd rather swim with all the minos. lol We bought a blow up row boat and used it in the pond.

Good Memories!
