You can use a file transfer site. These are free: http://www.yousendit.com http://www.transferbigfiles.com http://s4ve.as
a. Turn off Fast Saves. Select Tools > Options > Save and untick the box that says Allow fast saves.
b. Use the built-in compression tool of PowerPoint. To turn on the Picture Toolbar you select View > Toolbars > Picture. To compress the size of a picture, simply click on the picture and then press the Compress Pictures button on the Picture Toolbar (5th button from the right).
If you still have a problem in sending the file, do one of the following: 1. Split the presentation into two or more files.
2. Send it through a large email service like YouSendIt (www.yousendit.com).
**Note: 3. To put it onto YouTube, you need convert the PowerPoint to video (MP4, AVI, etc) first. Coz YouTube is a video hosting site that does not support PowerPoint. To do the conversion, you can use some excellent conversion software like Moyea PPT to Video Converter, at http://www.dvd-ppt-slideshow.com/ppt-to-video/
Converting your PowerPoint presentation to Flash to embedded all the inserted files in the Flash-based presentation. And then send the Flash file to others. There are some third party presentation tools such as Wondershare PPT2Flash Standard can help you do this work. You can convert it with one click. Of course, all the original effects can be retained in the Flash presentation.
Here is an article about how to email PowerPoint to others perfectly: http://www.sameshow.com/ppt2flash/email-your-powerpoint-presentations-to-others-perfectly.html#155
When you say -- send the power point -- do you mean, send the power point file? Are there a lot of pictures in the file? Perhaps the file size is too large. MSN does not block *.ppt files. If the file is too large, try to "zip" it. If you are using Windows XP, locate the file through MyComputer, right click, choose SendTo, "compressed file Zip" -- and it will create a compressed version. If the file is still too large, although you don't want another email account, Gmail will allow you to send a 20mb file, whereas Hotmail probably throttles you at around 5mb. Good luck!
