What could be an alternative to ease the pain of costochondritis?
I've taken ibuprofen and naproxen. None have help, but to cause stomach pain and heartburn.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

Who diagnosed the costochondritis? Did a nurse or doctor do it? If not, then we are not sure it is costochondritis. Chest pain can be caused by a lot of things far more serious than costochondritis. Ibuprofen and naproxen should work because costochondritis is just plain inflammation of the cartilage and bone in your chest. If those meds don't work, then:
1. You are not taking enough of the medicines,
2. It's not costochondritis.
Get yourself checked out especially if the pain worsens or does not go away. Costochondritis goes away on its own after a time. Good luck.

my rheumatism used to be so bad i had to take lots of medications (mostly useless painkillers) and apply all sorts of ointments, liniments... Now i dont do any of those. I just take B-complex vitamins, preferable those with B1, B6, B12 and do some light but regular exercises. Make sure that these exercises dont hurt any of your joints. No Pain No Gain is definitely not true here...

I don't really know what costochondritis is, but don't take ibuprofen, it is bad for your stomach and blood pressure, go on line and try to find other alternatives, I'm sure you'll find something you can take... I hope you get better my dear friend... I miss you a lot.
