Should President Obama just ignore Republicans since they are obstructionists anyway?
It seems to me he could get more done if he would quit wasting time trying to convince Republicans to do what's best for the country. I mean look at health care reform. For a year he wasted his time trying to be bipartisan when all he needed was the Democratic majority in Congress to get the job done.

Could you name one time Obama was truly bipartisan? One specific time when he did anything more that lie his way through an explanation as to why the Republicans refuse to kowtow to his beliefs and fall in subjugation at his feet like the left does?
But if you did that, and couldn't get anything passed with one of the largest House and Senate majorities in history, like the year you claim was wasted because of bipartisan, when YOU DIDN'T NEED ANY Republican votes, then you would have to admit Obama has no leadership ability. Playing the childish blame game is not something Democrats are willing to give up that easy.
One-party rule is dangerous. Yes, you can get a lot of programs enacted, but if they fail, you alone are responsible. If both parties buy into the programs, you're safer. For instance, if through some quirk of fate, the US starts having hyperinflation or fiscal problems the way Greece has, (and that's not impossible), the public will blame the Democratic congress and the Obama administration for overspending.
Where is your evidence that he tried to be bipartisan for a year? It doesn't exist! He kept Republicans out of the discussions for a good part of last year. He only recently in this year made some public appearances, only to "put them in their place" before the public eyes. This whole thing is full of back door dealings, buying off of votes at tax payers expense - and that's what's visible. Republicans offered real reforms and Obama wasn't interested. His goal is to expand government control of Americans. This is just one of them. Why do you think the authors and President and company are exempt from Obamacare?
Bit late for should comrade.....he's had the arrogance to ignore the demography that will see his facade undone in November Without a physical vote - I have the utmost faith in the USA to set the record straight!
