If you land in Frankfurt that will be not too far away to travel either by train or a rented car and it will give you some nice days the region is really great.

I recommend a day trip to Titisee. It is in the heart of the black forrest and you got there one shop to the other that sells original coo coo clocks. I was there with my friends from San Jose CA and they were very happy to buy their clocks their. I attached also a link with some web cams of Titisee so you can imagine how it looks like their.
