Why do they make the boys bikes with the bar at "CRUNCH" level ?

Actually, the "Question" was "rhetorical", and in jest.
I merely wanted to share this video with 'yall, and show this young mans athletic ability on a bicycle, which, you must admit, is quite extrodinairy.
Thanks for all of your answers though...

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was nice seeing this young man have so much fun but staying safe with all that practice obviously. Brought a big smile to my face.
I just road a bike from one place to another, nothing fancy lol.

I was allowed to ride a bike for a short time when I was young. Then someone took it back. Surely was fun. I loved the wind in my hair. They did not have helmets then. Had only one wreck. It was not from going fast, was almost stopped: it was the gravel surface of the road. Passenger on the crossbar. We were being safe, I was driving. Almost stopped and hit loose gravel, dismounted before we completely stopped. Kids, long ago. Would not want to ride a bike to work, messes up my hair and clothes.

They have wonderful marvelous bike trails here. I have only been out a few times. Those were a main attraction of here. I loved to bike for recreation, and take walks. I am so obese now, and feel so bad I would have trouble with it, especially the ones where you lean over. I no longer have my bike.

I was biking before I came here. Had taken it up again, with gym, and walks. It depended on the time available as to which one I did. Once again, I had no
bike wrecks. The chain slipped off a few times. It is amazing the difference in the newer bikes and the old ones. I learned I could not stand up to pedal up hill on mine. I was a runner long ago, a mile a day, five days a week. Wears out the hip joints too fast.

I took up spinning classes at the gym.. Exhilarating. Visualization. Oh! The first time
I made it through the class without stopping, it was a major accomplishment. I was red as a beet, head to toe, and wet with sweat. I guess since I have been fixed or something so that I cannot perspire, I will not ever be able to do that again, along with everything else I have lost here. Health mainly..
I cannot even use the treadmill, or walk, except for very slowly and for short periods, without getting so hot I think I will die.Exercise was always a part of my weight maintenance and I was not meant to be fat, almost prefer death. I am not meant to be overweight, and it has cured nothing. No one cares, health care does not care. I am telling them, I suddenly cannot perspire. So what! We want money. they say. That is revenge. Revenge. Spite, hatefullness for things which nearly cost my life, health and well being, cost me three careers, greatly contributed those losses. You have no insurance they say. Go mental, we will get more money. Then you can live in poverty and be unable to work even more if possible.. Every thing I ever did in my life that I liked caused perspiration. I am going to die of a heat stroke.
I can perspire minute amts under my arms, crotch and end of my toes, which by the way are numb, numb on the undersides, and in spots. They do not care.
I had no idea I was being sent here to die or be killed, both. I am deadly
serious. This is just as deliberate as can be, spite, revenge. No. I never sued. Never received one cent of compensation from anyone any where, merely
threats, blackmail, assault and battery from consulting attorneys. Intimidation.
Career and home losses and poverty and degradation. It is not political. It is private interest and private persons in a cult. Probably have neuro syphilis due to my alleged race, revenge, there also.

They make them so you will hurt yourself when you slip off the seat.
Keep you alert. You need that. I don't have time to be a mother to you.

That bike bar on boys bikes would be on girls bikes too except for the fact that when they starting making bikes many years ago, all girls back then wore skirts and dresses. A girl could not throw her leg over the bar with a dress on because it showed her underpants. Now the bar has been on boys bikes forever and the makers see no need to change. The only trick I did was 'no hands or feet' on the bike and standing up without hands on the bar, Not much I know. Lol Poppy

I had always been told the the bar is at "crunch" level because it is more support for the body of the bike. Girls' bikes were made without the bar because ladies in the old days supposedly rode them while wearing skirts. In theory, all bikes should be made with this stabilizing bar.

Not even close. All of the bicycles I have owned have been used for transportation or criterium racing.
I have ridden a suspension recumbent and have found relaxed rider position dissipates the bumps better.

Sorry I can't answer your "crunch" question as I don't know.
