Can anyone tell me what shape this is?

If the shape has a circular base and perpendicular cross sections that are equilateral triangles. I'm thinking a cone...? Not sure though.

Okay thanks, and yes, perpendicular sections, but it's just a calc question I had to do. You have to find the rate of change of the volume with those characteristics and a radius of three. So I was making sure it was a cone. I'm not dumb, just cautious. Lol Thank you.

Oh, MRPALON, a cylinder has a base of a circle... so yea. But that obviously doesn't have cross sections that are equilateral triangles.

Huh ? Do you mean the sections perpendicular to the base? If so, CONE.

the only shape with a circular base is a cone
and plus it looks like a triangle!
