I recently adopted my 3 step kids. How are they related to my own kids?

If you are married to their mother and do not have legal documentation then they are your children's step siblings. If you do have the legal documentation then they are your children's half-siblings, because they now share a father. Some people might say that they are your children's full adoptive siblings, but this isn't the case unless you and your wife have full custody of all the children and she has also adopted your children. Hope this helps. =]

They were step siblings until you adopted them. If your kids are with your current wife they are brother and sister since they have the same parents. If they are kids with a previous wife they are half siblings because now they share a father.

I do not know why everyone is saying step siblings. You are now their father and you are the father of your own children. That makes them related and not just by marriage like step siblings really are.

Physically not at all unless your wife is the mother of all of them. That makes them half siblings to each other which they were before you adopted them. Legally they are brothers and sisters under the law. They have equal rights to inherit from you and you have equal responsibilities to support and parent them the same as your natural children.

They are their brothers and sisters...any if you encourage that sentiment, then that's as far as it needs to go, and legally I think that's what they are...but technically I guess they are half siblings? I don't know, are your kids by their father?
