Will graduate with math degree...help?

So, I am a Junior now who will (hopefully) graduate next year. My major is mathematics (minoring in Physics) and my cumulative gpa will be about a 3.8 - 3.85 by the time of graduation. I was wondering, if I plan to apply to a prestigious grade school (my first choice is Carnegie Mellon), is this gpa acceptable? What would I need on my math GRE's to even think of applying anywhere good?

Thanks!

Also, I'm a girl. Not sure if that helps me get into any math related programs...

You definitely should get into a grad program at CMU. Math gre HAS TO BE 800/800. No second thoughts about that.

Being female might make you stand out, but it wont help in terms of eligibility if hundreds of other well qualified women are also applying. In terms of money/scholarships, its the same deal. Not enough money going around to support everyone who want to go study.

your GPA sounds fine to me! Why don't you want to go find a job first and then study more. I would think the work experience would make you stand out even more to graduate schools.

Will you answer my MATH related question?
