Well for starters, sulfur is found in a few of the amino acids (cysteine and methionine). Amino acids make up proteins and proteins make up countless things in eukaryotic cells like enzymes, membranes, transport molecules (hemoglobin) and hormones. One protein that contains a high amount of sulfur is keratin, found in hair, nails, and skin. This is why burnt hair smells so bad!
