I am graduating from college in 2 years, wanting to join the military a good idea?
The 3 branches I like the most are the Air Force, Coast Guard and Navy. It would be awesome to get into OCS with any of these 3, but is enlisting with a bachelors degree a smart thing to do? Or is there a way to enlist and then apply for OCS after a few years? I plan on eventually getting into law/law enforcement so which branch would be most beneficial?
Thanks for the help.

First: The decision of joining the military can only be made by YOU. No one out here can tell you if it is a good idea or not - only you can decide.
2nd: Why do you like the Air Force, Coast Guard, or Navy (you can only join one at a time) as opposed to entering the civilian work force? If you can answer this question to your personnal satisfaction, your answer will be self evident.
3rd: If you take the time to get a college degree, it would be foolish of you to go enlisted route. There is nothing to be gained that would help prepare you for OCS. If you want to get into law enforcement in the civilian community, complete you college degree in pre-law and apply for a law enforcement job. If you want to know which military service will prepare you the best for law enforcement such as a city policeperson, highway patrol, etc - go Army or Marine Corps. Neither the of the three Services that you listed will prepare you for the type of work that our civilian police departments must perform on a daily basis. Regardless of which Service you select or type of military job assigned, you will still have to apply and go through the policy academy.
That is the way it is in the real world. Looks like you have some serious decisions to make especially if you are not in a pre-law program.
For your style of task ( Husband too) you each will need to have a university measure. Also the army remains clear of 18 yr olds who've youngsters. ( Who will handle the childrens) They will take into account you however please do not forget the primary 3 years within the army you're going to be long past over seas most likely. If you do get state facet you're going to paintings 60 to 70 hours every week. The veterinarian discipline is now performed through civilians with university levels. I might say when you get into the army college isn't an choice. ( do not forget you're employed 60 to 70 hours every week) All you do is Eat, sleep and paintings.
