What do you think of this story idea?
Let me ask you something.
Do you think this would be a stupid idea for a story?
A guy goes to a psychologist (not sure if the person he would actually go to is a psychologist, but I can't think of who he would actually go to.) because he is curious about a past lives. His psychologist puts him into a hypnotic state and has him tell the psychologist, in the dream. So, the doctor tells him to describe, in the most vivid way possible, about what he sees.
With each life, more is revealed about his past selves. And he keeps seeing himself get into trouble or killed.
Somebody else is doing the same thing, and he keeps seeing this person who keeps killing him. Somehow, the bad guy finds out where the main character is, and tries to kill him!
_-----------------------------_
Okay, it's not the best. And I'm kind of stuck at the end.
What do you think?
Stupid?
Thoughts? Ideas? Questions? Comments? Improvement?
I was thinking that it would start with the main character having a dream about his "most recent" past life. And then he gets curious and goes to the pyschiatrist.
He then starts seeing more of him in his past life. He learns more about himself and why he acts the way he does.
In each past life, the protagonist accumulates a lot of money and hides it. Almost in a way that ensures that he will find it in his next life.
Eventually, in one of his past lives (I'm not too sure about this one.) around the 1600's, he is a pirate who has buried a treasure in the Carribean. (Now, this treasure is worth millions. There are artifacts from all over the world for instance: Renaissance Italy, Feudal Japan, Pre-Civil War America, Victorian England, Latin America-1500's, etc. )
Here's the thing. The antagonist, who I mentioned earlier, IS the man who keeps killing the protagonist and looking for his "treasure."
So, while the protagonist is giving exact directions to where the treasu
treasure is, the antagonist is planning a trip to the Carribean.
Maybe, the protagonist and antagonist fight their way down to the Carribean looking for said treasure.
(After that, I have no idea. Honestly.)
(Sorry, it got cut off.)
Crud. I meant...
Here's the thing. The psychiatrist, who I mentioned earlier, IS the man who keeps killing the protagonist and looking for his "treasure."
