SSDI you can earn up to $1000 Mo pre-tax. They also have a ticket to work program where you can test your ability to re-enter the work place, and unlimited earnings for 36 months. Either way, you MUST contact them and report ANY income from working. Income from non working sources is not a factor.

SSI supplement, any income of any type, wages or other, will reduce benefits.

I work part time and get SSDI.

I have neither. But the answer to your question is dependent upon whether it is SSI or SSDI.

No matter which one you are on, you can work part time and make a certain amount before they start chipping away at your income or in some cases completely take it away.
