Want to know how Rassmussen polls "likely voters?"?

If it's not a retired Republican they hang up the phone!

zzsleeper - Rassmussen is liberal biased? You're joking right?

This is what they really do.
They make assumptions on who will actually vote based on highly skewed and flawed assumptions.
That lets them "count" the liberal replies at say 60% of what they give conservative replies.
That's how they get the answers Fox TV wants.

And I'm guessing quite a bit of just plain hanging up on people not giving the answers they want.

reason - computers don't go talk to the press about methodology do they? How convenient.

Yes, they a Conservative Poll, and it is very skewed. They were predicting the 2008 Election was a dead heat, but Presdient Obama won by 9 Million Votes and by 6%.

The term "Likely Voters" is used by every polling company. It refers to people who are

A) registered to vote
B) almost always vote
C) are motivated to vote

Rasmussen is one of the more accurate polling services. Just check the results of the last Presidential Election. Rasmussen was right on the money. Instead of simply sitting there casting unfounded aspersions, try comparing the measurable results and you will see which polling service has been most accurate in the past. Rasmussen is right up their with the best.

2008: Rasmussen predicted Obama 52% McCain 46%.
2008: Actual results Obama 53% McCain 46%.

Evidence ?

I thought not.

Considering they are the most widely used poll by both Republicans and Democrats, why would they pay for a subscription for data that was inaccurate ?

"Generally speaking, the automated survey process is identical to that of traditional, operator-assisted research firms such as Gallup, Harris, and Roper. However, automated polling systems use a single, digitally-recorded, voice to conduct the interview while traditional firms rely on phone banks, boiler rooms, and operator-assisted technology."

Please explain to us how a "robot" knows when to hang up LOL

Rasmussen Reports determines its partisan weighting targets through a dynamic weighting system that takes into account the state’s voting history, national trends, and recent polling in a particular state or geographic area.
