oldest hotel in U.S.?

I was watching an episode of American Pickers and it was stated there that the oldest standing hotel in the U.S. was the (now defunct) Eagle hotel in Wilmington IL.When i went to a forum to question this I was told that was not true.I can't seem to find out what IS the oldest hotel in the U.S.Can anyone help me out?

The Seaside Inn in Kennebunkport, Maine has been around since 1667. Since Illinois hadn't even been explored by that point, I'd find it hard to believe a hotel there was the older than 1667.
