Does anyone watch movies in the theater anymore?

These days, a good third or better of the questions posted here are "how can I watch this for free?" What's up with that? It's illegal, and I can't believe people expect others to tell them how to illegally watch new, in theater, movies. Not to mention the (should be) obvious; how do you know that the person posting isn't a cop? Come on; can we PLEASE stop hearing this question over and over again? Movie discussions, recommendations, etc, all great. Asking for help with a crime? Not so great. Opinions?

It isn't legal to bootleg movies in any country, though some don't seem to care if people do.

yes, i still do. some movies deserve to be watched with a huge screen and loud speakers that an in-home entertainment system set up just cannot provide. if it's a movie i'm really interested in seeing, i don't want to watch it bootlegged with poor quality.

Agreed, even if it were legal there are just so many movies that have to be seen in a theatre, with right accoustics and on a big screen. A movie such as Iron Man (the first one) was quite a let down on my 50" plasma but I saw it 3 times at the movie first.

There is no tradeoff of experiences.

Some people live in countries where it's legal to watch them for free. And maybe they don't want to pay so much to see bad films too.

there are movies which are not released in all parts of the world or sometimes gets released a lot later in other countries, so i guess, they prefer to watch the movies online purely out of curiosity.
