EPA wants to ban lead bullets & other types already outlawed - is this the backdoor to end our 2nd amendment?
Other then lead most materials used for bullets are outlawed for use by general public because they are considered armor piercing.
When the military under took their plans to phase out use of Lead bullets they could because use of other materials is a step up in lethality.
Copper is the only material that would be left which has two big draw backs
1) is that copper is very expensive
2) is that copper's properties makes a less lethal bullet then lead
What does this mean for our 2nd amendment rights - oh you can have the gun, but if you want the ammunition your going to have to pay high price for a less lethal bullet which might fail to stop the intruder who is bent on killing you probably with his black market lead bullets.
a petition by the Center for Biological Diversity (CBD) – a leading anti-hunting organization – to ban all traditional ammunition under the Toxic Substance Control Act of 1976, a law in which Congress expressly exempted ammunition. If the EPA approves the petition, the result will be a total ban on all ammunition containing lead-core components, including hunting and target-shooting rounds. The EPA must decide to accept or reject this petition by November 1, 2010, the day before the midterm elections.
IS THE EPA's ATTEMPTS TO BAN LEAD BULLETS JUST THE LIBERALS BACKDOOR ATTACK ON THE 2nd AMENDMENT RIGHTS???
