Anyone else waiting to get a rossi circuit judge in thier hands?

Well, i WAS. my local Scheel's had one one the rack, and it was a dissapointment of EPIC proportions. The wood is poory finished and dull, it has an awful Franken-grip thats miserable to hold, and the flanges that protect you from the cylinder gap are a screwed on add-on and dont even match the finish of the frame.

What a letdown! priced at $499, i wouldnt pay $200 for it....

What other guns have you anticipated getting you hands on and being sorely disappointed?

CTM: of course it counts. novelty or not, i like more unique guns that function well. Stick with the Remingchesterberg if you like.

the finish on the metal and wood was awful, it looked like a bad home job. stock looked stained and not even sealed or finished.
Rossi/taurus arent top of the line, but this was more like a wood Hi-point.

I can't say that I'm TOO surprised. It's Taurus's and Rossi's, who both make budget firearms, so no need to explain where my doubt comes from. Not saying that it COULDN'T have been high quality, but I would have been surprised if it were. Too bad, it's a neat sounding rifle.

This sort of situation has happened once with Bushmaster's and Remington's ACR. It looked promising while in production, but when I got my hands on one... it was the worst firearm I had felt in a long, long time. Poorly made as well.

Again, too bad about the Circuit Judge, it sure looked nice in the picture.

I tried one today. I kind of liked how the stock let your eyes get on the sights fast. About the only other thing I liked about it was the fact from changing from squirrel hunting to deer in the matter of a cylinder twist though.

Other then that, I agree that the wood finish reminded me of a BB gun's.

Edit: It was $560 over here.

It certainly looks cool. But the Judge has a bad reputation as a Taurus. As a shotgun/rifle...I don't know.

No. I was looking forward to the rossi ranch hand. Good thing I waited. It more a novelty than anything else.

Not really. Those things strike me as some kind of novelty item, like a stuffed jackalope, or illuminated bow ties and clown shoes.
