Why do people claim that Christians and Muslims don't believe in the same God?
EDIT:
If not believing in Jesus Christ means their God is not our God, then by that logic Jews would have a different God as well.
Exactly how is Allah "bloodthirsty"?

I assume you are of the Islamic faith. Anyway, Christians believe that through Jesus we can have a relationship with God, as far as I know Muslims do not believe that God can be called "father". So really it's a yes and no.

Because most are in denial or simply don't know the history of Abraham's God. Many will be shocked when they learn that Judaism also shares the same God.

if we take muslims as the example, already when they call their god they name allah while christians their gods name is jesus though jesus is not god himself admitted it in the book of john when he says he will go up to his father, which is clear that jesus is not god.besides more likely muslims praise god by spirit not with images so if we analyze this behavior they follow closer what god ask his servants to praise him by spirit cause god no one sees him, so by praising images we are sinning against the personage of god, blasphemy to create images of god, he dislike that we praise image on his name especially that we don't know the exactitude of gods personification. so if we study the event more likely god listens better to the islam than that claimed christian believing god.
