Muslims..To whom was Jesus referring when He said "God sent His only begotten son..."?

I have learned on here that Muslims respect Jesus as a prophet, so I was wondering who you believe the "only son" is. My verse of reference is John 3:16.

We don't believe in the Bible; at least those parts that were fabricated. See Jeremiah 8:8 for more details as to why I do not follow the modern day "Bible."

After the council of Nicaea, which compounded Christian belief into one mainstream creed, Christianity lost all semblance of genuine "truth." Greedy men corrupted something sent as a revelation for all mankind. As a Muslim, we believe in the strict monotheism of God. "He begets not, nor is He begotten, and there is none like unto Him."

Peace.

Sister.. The Word Begotten is you will find in KJV(King James Version) but you will not find the word Begotten in RSV(Revised Standard Version) of the BIBLE>. this word begotten was thrown away by the 50 Coptic denominations of church as a concoction ., interpolation.. So they don't have it in RSV .. It was also removed from KJV but later on added..That verse John3:16 is only in Gospel of John but not in any other GOSPEL

God does not BEGET>>>> Jesus Christ PBUH was miraculously Born.. to Virgin Mary (AS)

God(ALLAH) says in Quran:-

They say: "ALLAH has BEGOTTEN a SON." GLORY is TO HIM! He is RICH (FREE of ALL NEEDS). His is ALL that is in the heavens and ALL that is in the earth. No WARRANT YOU HAVE FOR THIS. Do YOU say AGAINST ALLAH WHAT YOU KNOW NOT.
( سورة يونس , Yunus, Chapter #10, Verse #68)

Verily, the LIKENESS of (JESUS) before ALLAH is the LIKENESS of ADAM. He CREATED him from DUST, then (He) said to him: "Be!" - and he was.
( سورة آل عمران , Aal-e-Imran, Chapter #3, Verse #59)

humorous element is Jesus is totally A God yet he isn't the God Almighty. that's got here across interior the bible ,which examine shows Jesus isn't God himself yet a God. Jesus Son of God under no circumstances everywhere interior the bible is he called God the Son.

Bible have many Son of God name. Its not mean literally God have any Son!!!

"..Adam, which was the son of God" [luke 3:38]

"..Israel (Jacob) is my son, even MY firstborn" [Exodus 4:22]

"For i (GOD) am a father to israel, and Epharim is My firstborn" [Jeremiah 31:9]

"..The lord hath said unto me (David): 'Thou art MY Son: this day have i begotten thee" [Psalms 2:7]

So David is also God's begotten son. The meaning of "Son of God" is not literal but metaphorical.

It can be anyone who is beloved by God.

Jesus also said that God is not only his Father but also ur Father(Matthew 5:45, 48)

"that you may be sons of ur Father in heaven..." [Matthew 5:45]

"Be Perfect, therefore, as ur heavenly Father is perfect" [Matthew 5:48]

"For as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God" [Romans 18:14]

"He (Solomon) shall build a house for My Name, and i will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever. I WILL BE HIS (SOLOMON) FATHER AND HE SHALL BE MY SON" [1 chronicles 22:10]

You will see in many passages of the Bible "Son of God " which signifies Love and affection, nearness to God, not applied to Jesus Alone.

You will see sons and daughters of God in 2 corinthians 6:18

"I have said, Ye are gods(Elohim)" [Psalm 82:6]

In John 8:44 Jesus called jews as "Son of Satan" its not mean literally satan have any Son!

As same as God also literally have no Son. In hebrew Son of God mean "Servant of God"

"Unto u first God, having raised up HIS SON JESUS, sent him to bless you.." [Acts 3:26 from kjv]

"To u first, God having raised up HIS SERVANT JESUS, sent him to bless you.." [Acts 3:26 from Nkjv]

See kings james version says>>HIS SON JESUS (acts 3:26)

See New kings james version says>>HIS SERVANT JESUS (acts 3:26)

Because Son of God= Servant of God

Yes! indeed Jesus was Servant of God!
