Pelvic and hip pain/pressure in pregnancy?

I will be 28 weeks pregnant tomorrow and for the past several weeks my hips have been killing me. Especially if I sit or lay down it is hard and painful to get up. I know that this baby must be a lot lower than my 1st pregnancy, because I did not experience this at all with my first pregnancy. I tried walking, which only makes it worse.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what helped you? I bought a hot water bag that I fill and place on my hips which helps temporarily. I was starting to get worried, but my midwife assured me this is a "typical pregnancy symptom" that I just have to deal with. I was diagnosed with a previa, but hoping that moved up since I was 22 weeks (get another ultrasound at 32 weeks). I have no bleeding/spotting so I am thankful for that, and was told if that happens with this pressure/pain I feel then to call.

Thanks for sharing :o0

i dont have an answer or solution ... but I am facing the SAME thing. I am 28 weeks today and my doc told me that the baby is low and i need to take care. I am feeling some discomfort around my pelvis and i feel that only when the baby is kicking which is quite frequently. Not sure when i should panic and call the doc though.
Does the baby move up? or will this be the case till we deliver?

I am 31 weeks and I too suffer from painful pelvis aches and pains. I am fine as long as I am sitting down but once I am on my feet for longer than a few hours the aches get really bad. You could try getting a swiss ball also called a birthing ball as do some gently rocking on that. You could also try swimming. I have also been told that you need to strengthen your pelvis floor muscles which will support the baby better. I don't think there is a solution jus things you can do to try and help the pain. Hope it does not get too mch more painful. x
