I just hit the 28 pregnancy mark with my 2nd pregnancy. I know every pregnancy is different, but I can't help feeling more anxious this time around. It feels like baby is very low and the pressure is killing my hips, and causing pelvic and back pain. The other night, I swear the baby would just fall out because she is so low! I was also diagnosed with placenta previa at 22 weeks (partial), and wont find out if the placenta migrated up until I am 32 weeks. I fear preterm labor and anything going wrong, and I can't shake this thought. I'm hoping it's just paranoia and not instincts. So, has anyone else felt this low pain? If I sit or stand too long it hurts so bad to move.
Any similar experiences of advice would be appreciated.
Thanks :o)

I had placenta previa during my pregnancy. I also had those pains on my lower pelvic area too. It wasn't continuous, but it was noticeable. I had partial placenta previa initially but as my pregnancy progressed, it developed to complete placenta previa. Since I had spotting, I was advised to be on bedrest. I was prescribed medications to stop contractions and was told to abstain from intercourse, and limit my activities too. It was a long four months on bed rest, but my daughter reached term and she was able to breathe on her own. Avoid sitting for too long to avoid putting too much pressure on your pelvic area. Just try to obey your doctors orders and try to relax your mind. Worrying at this point will not help at all, so try to divert your thoughts to something positive. I wish you will have a safe pregnancy as well as delivery.
Sounds to me like Symphasis Pubis Dysfunction. It's the relaxin hormone softening your pelvis much too soon before delivery. I got it at 15weeks.
http://www.wellmother.org/advice/symphysis-pubis.html some info that might help.
I also went into pre-term labour at 32 weeks and they did a scan and told me that most babies born at that time make it home safely. The only thing I had to have done was get steroid shots for babes lungs as they're the last thing to form as you probably know. They held off the contractions successfully but it's not a big disaster if bubs is born once you hit the 32week mark.
Good luck to you and just remember that stress is bad!
It could be the way the baby is laying, or it could be your hips spreading, again. With my first, I literally lost sleep because of hip discomfort and restless legs. It was horrendous. Try taking a warm bath, or use a heating pad for a little while to see if that helps loosen things up. Vibrating pads may help, too, but it's a bit controversial. There may be a topical cream you could use as well... check with your doc when you see him/her to see what might be safe.
Im 26 weeks and have just started getting back pain too, I cant get comfortable especially when Im trying to sleep I had to have a bath last night becasue it was driving me nuts sometimes when I m walking I get this sharp pain in my bum area dont know whats going on there lol Im going to try some prenatal yoga to strengthen my back muscles though and hopefully that helps...
