Yes, we've been through Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, many times, as well as Gatlinburg. There's an almost unlimited number of activities in Pigeon Forge. For example, you may want to take a look at

Just a few of the Pigeon Forge activities include Dollywood amusement park (you could probably spend a week here -- rides, restaurants, shops, etc.), Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner Theater, The Miracle Theater, The Titanic Museum, Elvis show, Tempations show, Nascar racing, about a hundred restaurants, etc.

Hope that helps.

Yes, I've been there or through there over 30 times in the last 20 years. Pigeon Forge is a confusing little town. Basically what you have is a town that wanted to be as cool as Gatlinburg was back in the day. In an effort to draw the tourists out of Gatlinburg they started adding more and more of the typical attractions, Go Karts, Putt-Putt, Water Slides, an Outlet Mall and of course restaurant after restaurant. The overall downfall of Pigeon Forge compared to Gatlinburg is that the town is not very "walkable", in other words the attractions and restaurants are too spread out with many street crossings for it to be an option. Gatlinburg used to be quaint, now it's somewhat trashy and touristy as well but Pigeon Forge will always be a place to spend some time and money for the afternoon but not really a place to stay for any real length of time. Hope this helps.

Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge virtually run into one yet another if I bear in mind wisely. There are a gazillion chapels in Gatlinburg alongside the significant strip and probably many others farther out. i like the Gatlinburg section, very scenic.

I drove through. My impression was block after block of motels, restaurants, cheesy tourist places, and a mall. But at least they were not on top of each other the way they are in Gatlinburg.

I've driven through it going to Galtinburg, which is the next town over. It's pretty interesting.
