What is a "white dog republican"?

Does it refer to their candidates that more frequently adopt the behaviors of female dogs in heat? Or a republican that would vote for a white dog if it was a republican?

Thanks, confusion. I think a "white dog republican" is one that would vote for a white bytch dog, as long as it wasn't a "liberal" or a person of color. Hence the irrational support of candidates that are pathetically laughable, with their incongruencies to the values of the GOP, I once belonged to!

Rachael interrpretation of history may be rather whimsical and one must be very careful how to elucidate its lessons. Yes, history has a way of repeating itself, at least in the larger sense. What had been the party of racist southern democrats has apparently morphed into the racially pure and overwhelmingly kristian Tea Party, after a stint as the GOP. But your right in that hatred and divisiveness knows no specific party.

Since you made it up, you get to give us the meaning!

You're confusing this made-up term with the REAL term "Yellow Dog Democrat," which was coined in the late 19th century to describe hardcore Southern Democrats who would "vote for a yellow dog before they'd vote for a Republican." There are also Blue Dog Democrats, but no White Dog Republicans.

Historically speaking, the Democrats have always been the racists, which is why it's so ironic that they're getting minority votes now. It kind of shows how little people know about their own history. Davis was a democrat, Lincoln was a republican. Have you ever heard of the Colfax Massacre?
