An efficiently run government can improve lives. Look at the 35 million Americans who now have access to Health Care, that would not if not for the government. Not to mention, that it is the government that enforces the constitution which gives you your freedoms. Without which, you could find yourself in a world of hurt for talking about government in a negative way.

actually, every single move that the govt makes has an effect on someone. how naive or stupid do you have to be to think that change from the U.S. Govt would not effect you personally? I mean really, Really go look at a U.S. History book and see what the Govt has done to change America along the way. If not for Govt changes then women would still be treated as property, blacks would still be property, big business would be able to tell you to move from your house because they want your land, and the list goes on.
As far as hope, well, I can't think speak on that I also wonder about that myself, but then again I wonder why Christians sit around and hope for stuff too.

Now, I could go down the list of 120 Obama accomplishments that you can read on polifact.org. I can talk about the students who get easier loan terms and hence could attend school. I could talk about the 50,,000 workers hired by the auto companies Obama saved.l I could talk about the 100,000 people who came home from Iraq.
What about the 30 million who will have health insurance now?
Or maybe I would put the entire Media Matter site here which proves that most of what you see on FOX is biased, wrong, misdirection and outright lies. Or, you could research anything yourself. You might find it illuminating.
