How do I measure ambient light with a meter?

I am attempting to use a Minolta Flash Meter IV to measure ambient light. I need to take light readings in a parking lot for future security cameras. The meter is requesting settings for ASA/ISO and shutter speed. Since this is for use with digital video cameras there is no film so I don't know the ASA/ISO and there is no shutter speed.

I'm not quite sure what your question is...how to use your meter? what settings to put in the meter? If you want, message me and I'll see if I can help.

reflective. use the invercone, and degree the sunshine bouncing off the items face... then meter the lawn, take into account, movie handiest sees 5stops. external that, its black or white. (until you shoot virtual and opt for the HDR alternative which will see eight or 10 stops. this calls for photoshop / paintshop professional and for reference, you desire the mannequin competently uncovered, no longer the heritage... the mannequin is your most important field, so meter that, and use a shallow DOF to blurr the heritage
