I have a Taurus PT92 9mm that ive been trying to sell for about a month now. I took it to the local gun shop today and tried to see if i could get a trade in. they told me that i would be better selling it outright because they've had them in the past and they had to almost give them away after thy sat there for a few months. He told me that i might be able to get $325 out of it. Just a little bit a go i received an offer from someone offering to trade me for a Ruger gp 100 .357 mag. it has a 4 in barrel Stainless finish and a bobbed hammer. It looks like it is a little scuffed up but not in too bad of shape. Is this a good trade? Would i have better luck selling this gun than i did with my taurus? If so how much should i expect to get?

You should definitely make the trade.
The PT92 sells used for around $300 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=194241114
A used stainless GP100 would get you $400 or more. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=193775413
Although it's a good trade as far as selling it goes, you should definitely keep the GP100. It's a great wheel gun that will last you for many generations.
Get the GP100 quick before that guy changes his mind.
If you are comfortable with a rather large revolver, the GP-100 is a good choice. It is a very sturdy design that no normal amount of of shooting should cause to lose acccuracy anytime soon. And a new one is worth considerably more than $325, more like $600. A used one is worth less but is still a good value. However, it is much larger and more difficult to conceal than the Taurus pistol. And possibly harder to shoot accurately without practice.
Ruger GP100's are very popular guns, I would think that you would be able to sell it fairly easily for about $325-$350. You should look around on gunbroker.com and look at the prices on GP100's to make sure though. I've seen a lot more GP100's around than PT92's so I would think that it would be easier to sell.
Sounds like a very good deal to me. I have never had much luck with Taurus semi autos, constantly had problems that never got fixed 100%. That ruger is a great gun, if you even take decent care of it, your grandkids will be shooting it after you are worm food.
Your 9mm autoloader is a bit more popular than a 357 magnum wheelgun.
I just don't know how people scuff-up their fine firearms. I sometimes hunt hard with my guns, but they still look better some 20 years later than some 3 year old guns that must have been abused.
