Well, get this model here (It's on sale): http://www.cabelas.com/product/Bushmaster-50-BMG-Bolt-Action-Rifles/708194.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3D.50%2BBMG&Ntt=.50+BMG
Now, as far as the sabots, I say go for it! This baby can fire any .50 caliber round, such as .50AE, .50BMG, and our favorite, .950JDJ!
Now, the max range on these puppies is quite limited, so you will have to get within 2,000 meters, with a taped on 3x-9x scope (The rifle doesn't have scope mounts, and who needs scope mounts when you have camo duct tape?
As for the quietness, all you need is a soda bottle tape on over the muzzle brake, and tape the muzzle brake closed!
tahoe using a .50 will result in this( those squirrels are made of iron)

your best bet would be your AK-57 radar tracking laser guided heat seeking double barrel slingshot or a deer cannon and if you got desperate enough a cane toad launcher... and if you can track one down a phase 3 pulse photon laser is the quietest weapon made today its just a whisper
Get a couple of mufflers, weld them together end to end, then stick your barrel halfway through the first one and duct tape it on. Fill the mufflers with styrofoam packing peanuts, or real peanuts to bait the squirrels in, and fire away.
Don't forget you will have to get yourself some subsonic .50 caliber ammo, and they don't load that with .50 caliber sabots, but you can reload your own. I've heard that light powder charges in high-powered rifles will cause a serious over-pressure problem and could destroy your gun. Don't worry about that though; with this set-up you'll kill every squirrel that ever lived with one shot.
If you find something let me know. My set up is the opposite of yours. I bought a CVA .50 call muzzle loader and .50 BMG rounds. I can't get it down the barrel tough! I even tried a rubber mallet but Nothing!
Have you tried an attack kitten with a .50 BMG up it's butt? Works for me every time. Especially Fluffy, my picture thingy. he killed 250,859,378 squirrels last week.
