How do i sing and play guitar at the same time?

I have to learn a song at church by Hillsong (dont remember the name right now) and i have to play and sing at the same time but its really REALLY hard to and i dont know what songs will help me and that easy enough to start out with.

How anyone give me some pointers, advice and song starter songs that will help me start doing both together please.

learn to play simple notes and talk then chords and talk then do the same thing with more advanced notes and chords untill u have it down then u should practice the same thing with the song

Play the song only. Sing the song only. Know both parts very well. Put them both together. Eventually you will get it right.
