Absolutely. There are no restrictions at all, in how much they charge, or how much they can increase their rates.

The entire new law, was designed to make insurance so incredibly expensive, that no one could afford it.

~~Yes as for now. In 2014 when the full reform takes place health insurance companies will have to spend 85 percent of their income on actual patient care rather than a huge self profit. This is when you will begin to see a difference in costs coming down and competition for business which always helps rates.

Some already have, and it will continue. Some insurance companies are getting out of the health insurance usiness altogether, and that will undoubtedly contine as will.

They already have. Just the increase in mandatory preventive care has increased costs. You can't get more and have it cost less.
