Amendment 1 is:
The amendment prohibits the making of any law "respecting an establishment of religion", impeding the free exercise of religion, infringing on the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.
Amendment 2 is bearing arms.

The First Amendment does not protect your right to own a firearm, it protects your right to an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

It is the Second Amendment that protects the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

To Thankyou. No, you are incorrect sir, the Second Amendment does not give each U.S. citizen the right to bear arms. The right to keep and bear arms is an inalienable right for our own protection, and the Second Amendment only PROTECTS that inalienable right.

Is this an American History question? The Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution gives each U.S. citizen the right to bear arms, but this was part of the Constitution of 1779.
