The guys at the bike shop said I need a new chain. I've only got 18000 miles on this one. What would be the best chain for a 08 Triumph Bonneville? I'ld ask the guys at the shop but they may have a store brand they'll try to sell me.

The DID/O-ring is probably your best shot but if you are tight on cash RK/O-ring is the one. And it's a really good thing to change out the sprockets at the same time you get a new chain, if possible. Try to keep your chain well lubed for longer service, every 100 miles is not a bad thing but a bit overboard, every 200 is great, every 300 a must. (I use regular bearing grease applied with a soldering brush, a little bit messy but my chain/bike are subjected to my riding in the rain A LOT).
I reckon DiD are the best chains. Try to get an X ring as they last longer than an O ring. They will probably try to sell you an XW ring, but these are expensive, and you will not get any added benefit on a bonnie. Get the shop to fit the chain because if you don't have the right tools and know what you are doing, it could end up very dangerous.
DiD and Tsubaki are both good chains. If your going to put a new chain on worn out sprockets save you money and buy a cheap but decent chain. You can mount the best chain in the world on worn out sprockets and it's life expectancy isn't going to be too long.
