getting pregnant on depo shot?

i got the depo shot while leaving the hospital after having my son. I got it on the 20th of october. My boyfriend and i had sex and he came inside me. I am still bleeding and it's been a month since i got the shot. I was just wondering if it was possible for me to get pregnant again since i'm still bleeding and my uterus is still getting back to normal. I wasn't worried about it until my boyfriend started getting upset and said his friend got pregnant on the shot. Also, I am not breastfeeding.

The chances of you getting pregnant are very slim. I was on depo and started it right after having my daughter. I bled for 3 months after getting the shot and after that I didn't bleed again till I went off depo.

My friend had her baby July 22nd of this year, she got the depo shot before she left the hospital. She came home, waited a couple of days until she stopped bleeding and she started having sex again. She is currently pregnant with her 3rd child. That may just be the way her body is. But it is important to always wait until after your six week checkup to have sex, and have safe sex. Pregnancy is getting very hard to prevent these days and no method is 100% effective. Talk to your doctor if you are really worried or start feeling like you are having pregnancy symptoms/signs. And if it's a false alarm, just be more careful until you know you are ready for another one. I hope things turn out okay.

I had the depo and I bled for 3 months straight. I then got a different form of BC cuz I wasn't about to do another 3 months of that! If you're bleeding, its just the depo working in your body. No pregnant.

I've never heard a doctor give birth control while coming out of the hospital, most of them at least make you wait until they see if your body is fully healed. That aside,it's probably normal postpartum bleeding still and the depo shot has a lot of nasty side effects (long bleeding times is one of them, and then not having periods at all is another, possible infertility later on,and yes,it's very easy to get pregnant on the shot, out of the people I know that got it,two got pregnant on it while getting their shots on time, and three of them ended up with endometriosis,so it's up to you if it's worth the risk to continue getting it). You're more than likely not pregnant, and yea,it's a lot easier than said to get pregnant on the shot apparently.
