What, Software Program, Or Toy, If You Type In The Letters it Says The Word?

Question

Stroke Victim, my elderly cousin needs a device where by you type letters and the device says the word.  It could be a toy or I can get her a computer if there is a software program that would do this.  All she says is "NO" for yes, for no, for everything.  She had a stroke 15 years ago and she has not improved in a long time.  I went to ToysRUs yesterday but I did not see anything.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thank you and Happy Holidays.

There are many down-loadable programs for P.C.'s,..Google ..text to speech free downloads...also windows has one as well.I have a good one i'll go see what it is and come back...with it

Windows has a 'Text to Speech' program.

Try:
Speech Recognition > Text to Speech

I believe that when something is typed in, it is then highlighted and the 'Text to Speech' when started, will say the text.

Play with it.

There are other programs to download that I've read about, but I've never tried them, so I can't say bad or good.
