Why do so many women like the pricks of the world?

Is there a logical answer to this question?  I am very good to my girlfriend.  I try to do nice things for her as often as I can.  I love her very much.  It took me a long time to find someone I enjoy being nice to and who will accept the daily things that I can provide like doing her dishes, cooking dinner for her, doing her laundry, cleaning her house, spending time with her, watching movies, playing board games, going for walks, and just sitting and talking for hours.  We have a very healthy emotional and physical relationship and we're both very happy.  I enjoy spending time with her family and doing family functions with her and I know that she's the one I'm destined to spend the rest of my life with.  In the past, I tried dating other women and I tried doing those nice things for them as well, with the same well meaning intentions.  Those women that I tried dating in the past can't seem to get away from dating guys who enjoy treating them with disdain, ignorance and downright rudeness.  I guess I found the right one, but what about those who dismissed me as being too nice?  Why do they keep dating guys like that?  And why do they tell me now that they should have hung on to me when they had the chance?  Granted, I'm no Tom Cruise and I'm not rich in any way.  I'm just a nice person who has a lot to give to the right person.  Why are there so many women out there who aren't willing to take the kindness that a man wants to give?

They like the pricks because there is more of them than any other kind of male human species.  When there is only one person like you and a dozen pricks and 25 women what do you think is going to happen?  Your just one fish in the ocean.  A lot of women want excitement, lavishness and the high life.  They think any man can do all those things that you do because they want him to and when the men don't do it the women think they can change him.  They can't and they don't.  They don't realize it till it's too late.  
None of the men I have ever had could have fallen into the category of prick.  Guess I know how to pick the right ones.  Don't worry about why those women pick who the pricks, they probably would not realize a romantic anyway.  Some of us know how to find the best fish...

Because women are petty, petty creatures.  Their emotions tell them one thing, but they feel the need to be with a strong, dominant man.  Typically they aren't going to find that guy unless he has some bad side effects, like abusiveness, an over-controlling personality, or anger.  These are the byproducts of excess testosterone and they come with the basic package that women instinctively look for.  The good news is that as they get older, they lose the need for that strong pack-leader and settle for someone who won't go sniffing the wrong butts.  Of course this is well after their mating drive, but there's something to be said for cougars.  Something very nice...

Women are odd beasts. Some want pain, but not your pain. Some want a good guy, but not you. Hell, I gave up and found my fiance on match.com. She is the perfect girl for me and I couldn't ask for a better partner in crime.
