Am I on the right track to getting accepted into NYU?

I'm 13, in the 8th grade, and I live in SC. Most people consider me to be highly intelligent (no arrogance intended), I'm in the Jr Beta Club, Algebra 1, English 1, and basically every honors class. I'm also in Art Ideals and I took the PSATs recently. My GPA is usually over 3.5 and I'm considering going to the Governer's School for the Arts and Humanities for my junior and senior years in highschool. NYU is my dream school....period. I was wondering if I'm on the right track to getting accepted into NYU for courses in Arts design etc. Or if I could possibly get a partial/full scholarship to NYU? Also, could you give some tips to further my odds? One more thing, could you give me an insight on what NYU is like (if you attended, of course) because I here that it's amazing. I also plan on residing at NYU.

NYU is a great school. Very very hard to get into if you have a 3.5 you better have an almost perfect SAT or ACT. (you need to have very high in the first place to get in) unless your weighted gpa is over a 4.0 dont expect a scholarship.

I'm 13 and in 8th grade, but my father happens to be a counselor so we always talk about these stuff. You have a OKAY GPA, but you should work on getting it to 3.7 atleast, so you could have a high chance of going into NYU. Also, all your activities with going to a Govern School and taking honors class is a very good idea, and will give you an advantage of going in NYU. If get a SAT over 2000, and you get over 3.8, I think you'll pretty much go to NYU. Gd Luck!
