Quest says it all. My dad was born by US citizens on a US Military base in Britain. Can I get my US Citizenship? I do not believe he has obtained his British citizenship but does have birthing records indicating where he was born. I do fit citizen by decent other then knowing if my father is eligible for citizenship and what he would need to do to get his so I could get mine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_nationality_law#Before_1983

Aside from the fact that US military bases belong to the country that they are in, the UK has long had a law that exempted children born to foreign service members in the UK from citizenship.
So neither your father nor yourself is eligible.

Sorry!

if your father was born in a US military base than he was born on US soil (not any other country's) no matter where in the world that base is located.

you can get a British citizenship just like someone from Britain can get an American citizenship. but you can't get dual citizenship.
