Jim Brown by far since he used to carry tacklers and would take hits compared to OJ who was a slash and cut back runner. OJ had too many fumbles and playoff career wasn't too spectacular. OJ also had too many injuries especially to his knees. I do give Simpson credit for being the first 2000 yard back and for bringing the Buffalo Bills a winning record.

Jim Brown was better, he never played on turf, only on dirt fields, did not have as many games per year, and was far ahead of any records so he was not chasing anyone.
