How did the people of Egypt manage to depose their evil despot without an equivalent to our 2nd amendment?

Not one bullet from one gun needed. So tell me again why we need a right to bear arms?

@Cecil n;

Yes, that was exactly my point. We too in the US have a military who's support would be absolutely required for any overthrow to occur, hence no need for civilians to have a single gun. Thank you for pointing that out for me.

You don't need guns

Facts are a stubborn thing. The people of Egypt did not manage to depose their "evil despot" without an equivalent to the US 2nd Amendment. The Egyptian military removed Mubarak from power, not the people. If the military had supported Mubarak, he would still be president. We all know who the military is, right? The ones with the GUNS.

The military was sympathetic to their cause, while in other previous cases the military was too afraid of their leader to disobey.

To protect ourselves from crazed Minutemen of course.

Why without a gun in the house, this minuteman would have killed all three of them instead of just the husband and little girl.
