Seriously. If you are camping and there is a creek/river and you need to poop can you get in the water" aim" down stream take care of business, turn around and let the moving water double as using toilet paper to clean yourself?

If you have to ask this question you don't need to be out camping. Stay home where you will be safe. If I seen you doing this you would probably become one of the several missing campers and hikers that disappear every year. I camp from 1-6 months at a time when I go camping. I use the Leave No Trace rule when camping. Carry a camp shove, and T.P. with you when you go camping. Walk 200 feet from camp, dig you a hole,do your business, and cover it up when done. If I am down stream form you I would be just a bit upset if was getting water and see a butt biscuit go floating by. This is not a good thing to do.
Seriously. If you are camping and there is a creek/river where are you going to get your drinking water. If I saw you do that you might wake up in the morning to discover that during the night "bigfoot" threw your backpack and all your supplies in the afore-mentioned creek/river.
I would consider that a very polite and mild response.
Since you now know this is a bad idea what do you do? You carry a small shovel or camp trowel. You did a hole and use the hole as your toilet. You bury the waste every time you use it. Don't leave your mess to destroy someone Else's camping.
you could, however the next time you or anybody else needs a drink you have contaminated the water for everybody else. Personally if I saw you doing that you would certainly have to worry about Johnny law. That's' why you should "Be Prepared" and always have TP.
