(Cos(x)) / (sin(x) - 1) is just (cos(x)/sin(x)) - cos(x)

There is an identity for cos(x)/sin(x). That is, cos(x)/sin(x) = cot(x). Therefore, the correct answer is b) cot(x) - cos(x).
