Why can't i get pregnant? Will this bc work?

I'm 19 and my husband(21) and i have been TTC for almost 2 years!
Why hasn't it happened?!
Okay well here's my story:
I got my period when i was 9 and they were always regular. Every month on the same day i got it.
All of a sudden after got married on may 2009 my period became very irregular.
I got it very late or sometimes i didn't get it at all.
And now for the past two months I've had my period 3 times. They all last about two weeks and i have cramps but they are not that bad.
I have cramps here and there in between periods, nothing bad.
So two days ago I went to the doctor and she prescribed me with BC Loestrin 24.She told me its best i regulate my period. I was just wondering if this would be right for me.
I'm scared that I wont be able to have children. Any answers will help.

Chemical birth controls (the pill, the patch, any sort of implants) can really mess with your cycle, and your cycle may not be the same after you stop using the birth control, so if you have ever been on these types of birth control that might be your problem.

If you were a virgin when you got married, there are times that hormones caused during intercourse can cause different sorts of changes, but I personally haven't looked into that (my cycle was never regular to begin with lol), so you might wanna try google on that one.

Tip: you don't need to talk to doctors about your fertility or anything like that. There's a way to tell if you're fertile or not without spending any money at all!

You know you have vaginal discharge as a natural part of being a woman, right, even when you're not on your period...

If your discharge is white and sticky, you're not fertile, it's a sign that your egg just got flushed out and your period will soon follow, or a sign that your period is over and your body is just finishing the clean-up getting ready for your next cycle. It can also happen at any other time throughout your cycle just to clean out your vagina, it's one of the cleanest, most well-maintained parts of the human body (second only to the urinary tract).

If your discharge is clear and slippery, congratulations, you are ovulating and can get pregnant so grab your partner and do-si-do!

There's studies also proving that male sperm lives only a day or two, but moves really quickly, so you can get pregnant with a boy a couple days before you're even fertile. Female sperm moves a bit slower, but can live up to 4 or 5 days so you can get pregnant with a little girl almost a week before you become fertile!

Are you over weight? Not eating healthy? There are many reasons that can cause your period to become irregular. (Look up PCOS: Polycystic ovary syndrome is a condition in which there is an imbalance of a woman's female sex hormones. This hormone imbalance may cause changes in the menstrual cycle, skin changes, small cysts in the ovaries)
It is good that your doc has you on something. I have never heard of "bc loestrin" to help you with pregnancy... Does BC mean birth control? I can't really help you very much there.

Soon you will get pregnant, just wait and your doctors will help you. Stay positive and good luck!

if you have irregular periods, then you're probaby not ovulating. I have irregular periods too and when I started TTC, my doctor told me that most women with irregular periods do not ovulate at all. He did a blood test and an ultrasound of my ovaries and determined that I'm not ovulating. So I had to go on fertility medicine. Since you have irregular periods, I'd go see your doctor.

If you are trying to conceive, taking birth control will not help. Did your doctor understand you were hoping to get pregnant?

It is very likely that your hormones are not acting as they should. Your doctor will need to check your levels.
