Beer bottles and Caps?
I can open a soda bottle with my bare hands without much trouble, but I'll bruise my palm and cut myself if I try it on a beet bottle. What makes the difference so great?

turn your hand upside down when you open a beer bottle.
So you are using the gap,between your thumb and first finger, and the lid is clenched between them They come off alott easier.
The difference? soda bottles caps are plastic and beer bottle caps are metal.
Is that what you mean ? i ve been practicing all night, had some drinks :)
