why is the tragic and horrific murders of 5 Israeli family members not mentioned by the American media?

The parents and three children of a family were brutally murdered (by stabbing) in their sleep Fri night in Israel. The 3 month old child had her throat slashed, the 3 yo was stabbed in the heart and an older 11 yo child was killed along with both parents. The 2 yr old was under the covers with his parents and was untouched (he wasn't visible). The 12 yo was out with friends and came home alone to find the massacre.The dad was in the army and had weapons but was unprepared in his sleep.This is all an understatement of the horrible terror attack. Why hasn't it been mentioned by the media?

Terrible though it was, it pales into insignificance when compared to the killings in Gaza and perhaps news organisations respected that.  It would be hypocritical to lament the death of five Israelis (three of whom were entirely innocent) while ignoring the deaths of all the Arabs every week.  In the report I read, an IDF spokesman said that attacks on Jewish settlers had decreased by 97% since 2002 and finally, if the Israeli family had not been illegal occupants, they would not have died.  All settlers, the adults anyway, know what they are doing is illegal and immoral and the IDF can't protect them all of them all of the time.
