Opinions on Jennifer Jo Cobb refusing to 'Start & Park'?
I say Bravo for her...She shouldn't have to tank her career so the owner can pocket quick cash. If he can't afford to run, he should have told her that when he hired her.

I've watched JennJo cut her teeth on our local tracks for some time now, and she is a talented, stand-up driver more deserving than the treatment she recieved. I have been a fan of hers for about four years, but have found a new respect for her this week. Kansas City Nascar fans stand behind ya Jenn!

So many times we are falsely led to believe that Nascar racing is a glamorous lifestyle. Just like pro wrestling, there are rich stars who live very well, but most are dirt poor, struggling to survive. The same goes for Nascar drivers. There's only a few teams who have enough sponsorship and money to race competitively full time. I say hooray to Jennifer. A chance to drive is a chance to drive, but if you're not going to be allowed to drive AND if it happened the way she said it did, I say start walking. There are a LOT of dirtball people in the sport (Robby Gordon, Ron Hornaday, and the Bodines are some drivers that come to mind). It's about time drivers stand up and say "race this dang car or I'm not driving it". Nascar should eliminate the go or go home policy, let all cars start that qualify on a minimum speed, only pay prize money to the top 43, with a premium or guaranteed prize amount for the top 35 in points (if a star wrecks out on lap one, at least give them the $60,000 or so minimum prize money). I think this would force the go or go homers to at least struggle and strive to be in the top 43 (meaning they'll battle against the other go or go homers for the last few spots). That way, the truly dirtball teams who can't afford more than one set of tires or one tank of fuel will be eliminated, receiving no money. Bring a sponsor or bring some money, but don't stink up the show. Ken Shrader had to go home yesterday and he intended on running the whole race, whereas the bottom 5 or so qualifiers are start and parks. They should allow all cars to start as it's too expensive to set up shop all weekend, spend the money on semis and fuel and tires and pit crews and track fees to be sent home with nothing, whereas the bums steal the prize money and don't even race. Good for Jennifer for saying ala Eric Cartmen "screw you guys, I'm going home."

It's about time a driver stood up against this. I said it on an earlier question, if you don't have what it takes to compete on the track, you need to keep your butt home. NASCAR really needs to step in and stop this practice. It's a total joke. Anyone who does this twice in a certain amount of time, say 20 races (I think everyone deserves a second chance on even this) should be suspended for 10 races before they can even attempt to qualify again. They're not taking it seriously and making a mockery of the whole sport.

I watched and pulled for her at the same time as she became contained in the trucks sequence, She stood up for what she believed in, I understand that and could proceed to pull for her. human beings are seeing what I stated contained in the trucks, that she is there to race and to be aggressive, not merely bypass accessible and experience round for a verify.

I admire Jennifer's spunk. But these MORONS who think owners are getting rich by starting and parking really make me lose faith in the depth of the gene pool. Are you Kidding Me?
What ever happened to the love for the little guy? Do you really want the sport to be owned by the Hendrick's, the Childress's, and the Gibb's?
If it's that easy YOU do it and show me the millions dumbass.
Yes Jennifer's employer could have been more candid with her, but that's between them.
Oh, yeah, she's HOT !
