Do you think Jennifer Jo Cobb is finished in Nascar?

Most fans seem to side with her, but some do not.

How do you think this will be viewed by Nascar owners?

Has this hurt or helped her career?

Owners have the right to start and park the cars as they see fit. I believe that most start and parks are just lacking sponsorship to be able to compete full-time the way they want example: Joe Nemechek and Tommy Baldwin racing. But some I suspect are just trying to milk the system.

What say you?

I was a JJC fan when she was in trucks and always pulled for her, but is this the end or the start of a whole new career? Heard she will have a ride in California next week.

Update:

EDIT: The owner and JJC seem to have a different story as to what happened. Who is telling it straight, do you know?

Update 2:

@Mgault heard she has already been replaced in the 79 car for California.

worst case scenario is she will go back to what she was doing before she broke into Trucks and Nationwide. But in my opinion she has turned some heads and someone will pick her up. I believe this is just a slight set back, she will bounce back.

I read most of the story's and am not buying what the owner is saying because why would JJC go out and buy tires and secure sponsors and assemble a pit crew if she was aware of her start and park status, that would be a tremendously bad business practice on her part and she seems a bit smarter than that. (she may have been a bit naive and jumped at the first chance she got without reading the fine print though.) If I owned a Cup team I would be tremendously impressed by her determination and would at least put her into my driver development program. But lets face it if I knew everything I would be in NASCAR not playing around in the scrub class's at my local dirt track.... lol

I think this could be worse for the owner than JennJo in the long run. The Cobb family own her truck team so she wont lose that ride. She also had at least partial ownership in engines tires and other parts and equipment for the Nationwide team. The owner (forget his name) has to replace everything Jenn brought with her. She's also said more than one owner came up and commended her for standing up for her principles. From watching her come up on the local dirt in the KC area, I honestly believe she's as serious about driving as anyone I've ever seen. I dont believe she would go behind an owner's back and plan to drive when he wanted a start n park. She knows the owner could shut it down at any moment if she tried something like that. I feel she probably was deceived about the situation, and will continue to support her.

I think it could have been her best finish and I think its great I just wish the gal was in better equipment, she has the talent, come on some team give this gal the equipment, the talent is already there. The gal will do ya proud. Go Dale Jr.Bring it on in 2010

According to here, they voided her contract. There were Nationwide owners offewring her rided minutes after she stapped out of the car.

No, she actually has another ride for California.

I think it can get her noticed and some owners may even admire her convictions and give her some more opportunities.

Plus, she owns the truck team she drives for, so, she will always have a ride as long as she can gain funding.

No! She is not finished! She will continue to drive the #10 truck in the camping world series, and she will drive the #79 for 5 races in the nationwide series.

Nope I don't think she did I agree with a few folks on here and by standing up for herself i think she turned a few heads and I hope she gets a ride beyond CA. Kudos to her she sure gained my respect.

I dont think she is finished in Nascar. She has made a good name for herself last year and this year. She will have a ride next week driving for Rick Ware Racing.
