It really depends on the teen in question. Some might be mature and level-headed enough to make a decision like that at 16,whereas others might not be ready to make that choice until later. The best thing would probably be for the parent to decide if the teen is making a good choice or not. Unlike piercings,tattoos are permanent.

I think The parental consent is good because The Shop can mess up the teens Body and
Only A The parent can sue them for The damage ... Plus .. u may get something u should have in a naughty place and I think Parents stop u in till ur 18 Then U get what u Please LOl

I believe anyone under 18 should need parental permission to get a tattoo. Why? They are minors.
Anyone over 18 should get all the tattoos they want, which for me is none.

Yes, considering there are people out there who don't clean the needles.
Edit: They need parental consent.
