how do i stop my contacts list from getting spammed?

does anyone happen to know of a program i can get that will stop my contacts form getting used for spam mail? i use windows virus program because a yahoo user recommended it comodo did not seem to be able to stop the contacts folder from getting gleaned and then used to spam my contacts. i need to find a way to stop this and I'm asking if anyone has found a good program that will stop this OR is there a program that i can get that is a contact list program and i can enter my contacts in that program and empty my yahoo contacts. and when i need to email this program pops up and gives me my list. like out look where you start to type a name and you get a list of possible names to pick from? thanks for any help. a program to block spammer from my contact list would be my first choice but anything will help

First of all , check your sent messages folder. Are the messages there? If so you have malware and need to run an anti-malware program like malwarebytes

If there are no messages in your sent folder you can't do anything. You are not sending the messages - your contact list has already been copied and a spammer is spoofing your name as the return address. There is nothing you can do at this point but open a new email account, inform all of your contacts of the new account, and tell them that your account was hijacked and not to open anything coming from your old account
