How do you write a linear function that satisfies the given conditions with f (0) = 40, f (30) = 65?

UPDATE:

If the second condition has a 0 x value, do you use that condition to figure out b?

Basically f (0) = 40, f (30) = 65 flipped?

linear function is in the form of y=mx+b. so all you do is plug in the first f(0)=40 to find the initial condition which in this case is just the b.

y=40=m(0)+b
that makes b=40

then use the second f(30)=65 to find the slope, m

y=65
65=m(30)+40
m=25/30=5/6
