There are a lot more than four books in the NT. The earliest, which would have been one of Paul's letters, was probably written around 50 AD. No, no one was writing about Jesus in 33 AD.

According to Wikipedia they written between 50 AD with the latest no later than mid 2nd Century.

Edit: Robert S--- actually the first was probably Hebrew Matthew (Called the Gospel of the Hebrews or the Gospel of the Apostles) which Mark used as a source. Greek Matthew was a little later and used Mark as a course.

The first link is a secular source that says that the Gospels were written in the first century.

Edit: Christian apologists will favor an earlier date for an obvious reason. Atheists who don't like Christianity will favor a later date for an obvious reason.

The second link claims that Luke lived in Philippi from 49 to 55 AD, and that this must have been when he wrote the first draft of his Gospel.

Firstly no one knows who even wrote the gospels. Christians overtime have rejected some gospels and taken only 4 into reliability. This is based on the early churches views.
Secondly, it is understandable that the gospels were not officially released to the public because the church had difficulties about what the Bible should include or exclude. It took several years, several different people and many different perspectives.
And thirdly, all of the gospels were written several years after Jesus.

Mid to late first century for the Gospels. Paul's letters mid century.

BTW there are 39 books in the New Testament. (Did you mean the four Gospels?)

" Romans (ca. 55-58 AD)
Philippians (ca. 52-54 AD)
Galatians (ca. 55 AD)
Philemon (ca. 52-54 AD)
First Corinthians (ca. 53-54 AD)
Second Corinthians (ca. 55-56 AD)
First Thessalonians (ca. 51 AD)"
